Cruise Mecklenburg and Brandenburg
One
of Europes most beautiful regions, the waterways of
Brandenburg and Mecklenburg form a network of lakes and canals
in an area of forests and farmland.
North of Berlin, and extending to the Baltic Sea, this region
possesses historic palaces, castles and ancient towns, and
is countryside worth exploring. The exceptional flora and
fauna and undisturbed wildlife make it a paradise for naturalists.
The
lakes offer a wide range of water sports, especially the Muritz
lake, Germany's largest.
The fishing is excellent with fish including eel, pike, carp,
zander.
The historic towns of Potsdam and Brandenburg and the castles
of Rheinsberg and Schwerin are all worth a visit. Whilst
in this part of eastern Germany, you cannot miss the charm
of Berlin, with its history, buildings, and 100 kilometres
of canals with more bridges than Venice.
If these activities are not enough for you, then why not
sample those wonderful German beers and visit the superb restaurants
specialising in fish dishes.

We
have five boat bases in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg. These
offer a choice of routes. Some require a captain's licence
- this is not required unless a licence is necessary in one's
own country.
If you wish to cruise Germany you can also look at boating
holiday routes in the Alsace region of France. These offer
cross-border cruises from France into Luxembourg and the Moselle
area of Germany.
