Penton Hook Marina is set in 80 acres and is Britain’s largest inland marina. It is situated on one of the loveliest stretches of the River Thames, close to Chertsey and about a mile downstream from Runnymede where King John signed the Magna Carta. The location is a perfect starting point for a boating holiday on the Thames; cruise upstream to Windsor and our base at Benson, near Oxford, passing through picturesque towns and villages en-route, or cruise downstream to the chic shopping centre of Kingston-upon-Thames, the world famous botanical gardens at Kew and Hampton Court Palace, former royal residence of King Henry VIII.
Monday - Saturday: From 09.00 to 17.00.
If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly.
When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.
Your boat will be ready to depart for 16:00 - 18:00. We recommend that you arrive 60 minutes earlier for check-in and instructions. If you have booked an Early Check-in Service, please arrive at the base ready to depart between 11:00 and 12:00 or from 14:00.
Your boat should be returned and unoccupied by 09:00 on your last cruising day (or by midday if you have booked a Late Check-out).
Our base staff look forward to welcoming you to their cruising region and aim to make your arrival and holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
