A pretty and quiet village, Hesse has a charm and character that has been preserved over many years. Apart from a well-organised port the village also has the ruins of a Benedictine Abbey from the 11th century, whose church is now the village church.

If you would like to do some fishing on your holiday around Hesse a fishing license is required. The fishing licence can be purchased in the Sports Superstore DECATHLON in Sarrebourg (closed on Sundays) or in advance online on the following website: https://www.cartedepeche.fr.
